Louis:

Thanks particularly for the actual date on the 527 shot; Corbin's copy neg just says 1937.

The shot of 329 appears to be on the C&S in Denver after it was returned for scrapping.

Hol and Group - Again, THANKS for sharing the images of C&S steam power that was leased to the Q. I'd like to share the following images from my digital collection (inserted and attached):

C&S No. 527 identified as at DesMoines, IA, on July 14, 1940.

C&S 330 identified as at Deadwood, SD, in 1938.

C&S 329 that is unidentified as to date and location, but may be at Galesburg. Can you confirm or place elsewhere and date?

Again, you've researched more than enough historical information and images for another future article in a BRHS publication.

As for oil burning C&S 371 at Aurora in 1949, is there any possibility that the heavy Pacific was going to be tried out in Suburban Service for its greater power and lack of cinders? Best Regards - Louis
