Here's another one from Jim...he came up with several of them from time to time..

Remember the song..."Pretend You're Happy When You're Blue"....Jim came up with....you guessed it already...."PRETEND YOU'RE TRAVELING ON THE Q".  If you remember the melody you' see how it fits just right.

It must have stopped in the mid-50's. I remember it being there but along about that time the PR department launched a campaign to get people to call it the "Burlington" and not the "Q". Our local agent was a "true believer" and insisted that he worked for the Burlington and not the Q!

Right ON Tim..I forgot about this one...It was, indeed, on freight bills...I don't remember what time period this notation was used...Anybody  know??
