I will be doing the Aurora station on my layout.  If you do offer them for sale, please keep me in mind.  Not sure how many I'll need - but we want to be as accurate as possible.  Any idea what cost would be??  We're also looking for thoughts on the subway entries from each of the platforms.  Finally, we also want to model the elevated through Aurora - complete with the support columns.  Does anyone have any thoughts on those as well?

Steve,

I'm going to do these in injection molded styrene, already have the quote, and it's the only viable way to get them easily and repeatable.

Cost per part will be cheaper, less time consuming and much better quality than casting when done in styrene.

It also means that I can offer them for sale, should people be looking for them for the same purpose or for a free lanced station with covered platforms.

James, why not have shapeways print the mold for you? You may be shocked at the injection molding costs...

Here in Seattle, we have an outfit called Fathom who will print almost anything for you. Most bigger cities have these types of service bureaus now. I have had them print injection molding tool inserts out of digital ABS and successfully shot parts in common plastics with them. Each set of tools only yields about 35 parts before they flash or delaminate.
