Hi Glen:  I bought the undecorated kit which was in the bluish-gray  plastic that I would associate with Revell navel vessel models from the 1960s.  The stirrups and end roof walk supports are cast in one of those slippery engineering plastics which require air-honing (sand blasting) to hold paint.  Once built it is an excellent model with great detail.  My only experience with Tangent's undecorated RTR was their 60-foot GSC flat, primered, which I would liken to dipping into a bucket of paint and blowing off the excess.  Fortunately, it did strip easily and the detail was good under the primer.  While this probably is not much help, it does reflect my experience.  Jim Sandrin
