Speaking of ore trains, can anyone confirm the years that CB&Q handed some 
Granite City-bound off to Illinois Terminal (via P&PU) at East Peoria? Most 
sources seem to agree that this was in the years 1966-1968. Ore trains ceased 
using ITC because that carrier had shifted to IC's "Green Diamond" line from 
Springfield south in 1968 and the IC didn’t want ore trains on it.
