All,
I received
a response to my email to the folks at IM assuring me that the recently
announced CB&Q & FW&D composite gons will have correct herald
colors. The CB&Q car will have a black background herald, since
it represents a pre-1940 paint scheme. The FW&D car will have no background
since it represents a post-1940 repaint. The 1940 division point is taken
from the Burlington Route HS Freight Car Data Sheet for these cars. They
are working on updating the artwork that is shown on their website to reflect
this. As soon as the new images are available, Q Connection will also
update our web site.
I'd also
like to take this opportunity to remind everyone that Q Connection is
