I suppose it would depend on the size, Ray. In a larger size (20" on up) I envision a master being CNC'ed out of something like Renshape foam and then cast in plaster or urethane resin. In smaller sizes I could put it on Shapeways and have it directly 3D printed. The important thing to me for now is just finishing the 3D modeling. For no good reason I'm doing the CAD with the circular base scaled to 100", and the total thickness at that scale so far is about 5". Other practical sizes would scale from there.
