Hello Hol, Mike, and All - These locomotives were regular power on #35 and #36 when the Kansas City Zephyr was introduced in early 1953. PAW Nope, 9962ABC is one of the three F3 A/B/A sets (9960-62) purchased in 1947 for the California Zephyr and used on the Exposition Flyer until the CZ entered service in March 1949. They were removed from passenger service in 1954, regeared for freight service in 1955 and repainted into freight colors a year or two after that.
