It all hinges on who is elected governor this November. Pat Quinn has already stated his support for expanded rail service in Illinois while Brice Rauner will most likely kill ANY state support for rail service in Illinois.

Keep this in mind when you vote!!!

As an Illinois taxpayer I have no doubt my elected state officers and their appointed department heads conducted tough negotiations w/BNSF to equally share in these improvement costs that should eliminate eastbound frts parked all the way from Leland eastward. I am sure these changes will help Amtrak service come closer to on time performance. Oh and yes decrease BNSFs crew transportation, payroll, deadhead costs, etc.
