Thanks for posting this. Nice picture.

I can't really confirm this is Burlington as the lot is now empty. I have two old postcards that show a two story building on that corner but are too far to get much detail. As Bill said the street going away would be Division but too argue with hm I recall it being flat for the first block before starting up the grade.

I did a search and found a Charles Wedertz of Burlington was a "dealer in groceries and ice" and he was involved in harvesting ice from the Mississippi.

So no p;roof but it probably is  Burlington.

A friend of mine from the Union County Historical Society, Union County, Creston, Iowa sent me this photo recently showing Q engine 348.  Looks like the building in back says  ?. Wedertz & Co - Teas.  He did a search for Wedertz & Co , Iowa and found a Charles Wedertz had a general store at 201 Main St in Burlington. 

Can anyone confirm this is Burlington? Or the history of #348?
