1) no 2)yes 3)no,I once doubled Oregon westbound as head brkmn to Carter,thru Startford, and returned while the rear brkmn and Condr waited in the Waycar. We all got 100 miles. 4)no, it was routine to double Ohio and Walnut in one trip around the horn. They were each 25 miles. Don't get the wrong impression a 100 mile double was an extreme rarity, a rare windfall. 25 mile doubles were somewhat routine and actually pretty much despised as they typically took about the two hours pay to complete and all it did was keep you on the property longer.
