My thanks to Ray and Roy for sending along their reviews of the book. I think I will wait and take a look at the book at the next meet before I take a chunk of my hobby money and spend it. I was hoping it would have almost all of the important structures from Chicago out and over the C&I as well as a comprehensive photo album of passenger depots in suburban territory. All color so there are a lot of modern photos, many with BN equipment along side the structure, maybe 1/3 of the photos are after the merge. Although there are some earlier shots, and even a some with steam engines. I personally didn't find it that important to have, but I bought it before I really scanned it at the local hobby shop that sold it for $40, so I didn't feel it was out of my budget. I guess I was looking for a lot more photos, older ones at that, of structures other than stations; coaling towers, switch towers, maintenance facilities, roundhouses, etc. So, if you want a taste of Q facilities, it's not too bad of a book, IMO.
