John: I thought of that possibility also...Both the CNW...Santa Fe...and MP
operated into Superior....HOWEVER the MP never ran over the Q tracks...they
crossed the Q west of town...Both CNW and ATSF lines ended at Superior so they
would not have run over Q trackage...I think maybe that it might have been a
joint agency for Q * ATSF...and I'm not sure about CNW.
Let's see if Richard Kistler comes on here..He is our resident ( a real
resident) Superior expert and gives us some clues or "straight stuff"
Pete

This is just a guess, but I think Superior may have been a joint agency. I
don't remember if was with the UP, the MP or some other road. The top signal
was the Q TO board and the lower signal may have been the other road's TO board.

All,
Found another one that you signal gurus might be able to answer. This is an
unusual signal at the depot in Superior Nebraska. The top one would be the
train order signal but what is the bottom one for?
Thanks in advance
