It sure would be nice if someone would offer accurate injection-
molded 'Q' pre-war Budd cars in HO. Kato made a couple of N-Scale pre-
war sets about 10 years ago and just recently offered the pre-war
Silver Streak Zephyr using these cars- thanks to Charlie Vlk. Cars of
interest would be the pre-war Coaches, Diners, Baggage and especially
those pre-war Diner-Lounge-Observations (Silver Streak & General
Pershing Zephyrs). The Texas Zephyr also had a variant of these cars.
The 'Q' got a lot of use out of those Diner-Lounge-Observation cars,
right up to the BN merger, by utilizing them on the Kansas City
Zephyr, Twin Cities Zephyrs, Ak Sar Ben Zephyr, American Royal
Zephyr- and a lot of secondary trains. By fitting that ugly diaphram
on the Observation-end- they were used as mid-train (or first in
consist- running backwards) cars as well. Are you listening Charlie
Vlk????
