Where was the bridge located?  I assume it's the South Branch of the Chicago River, but where?

Some times like the OLD bridge at BN there was a power plant to supplement the local power in case it went out.  RIVER traffic has first priority so the bridge must be able to be opened or it is around a $10,000 fine.  Also the reason the "house" may have been larger then "needed"
