On a partial list of CZ consists I have the following NYC cars appear.   For the most part they ran ahead of the Dome-Obvs which was the normal location for extra non-CZ cars added for tour groups or other special movements…..but there are instances (formatted here as Bold and in Red but don’t know if Yahoo will wipe that out so I added a *) instances where Elkhart River, Oswego River, Imperial Manor, Lorain County, and Rouge River were in the middle of the consist.   The consists are mostly in the mid-sixties.   These are after the transcon sleeper was discontinued so I don’t think any NYC car protected that service as there were sufficient CZ cars to do so.
