Thanks Steve. It was a quick look as I went by, but it definitely seemed a
passenger depot. And it looked fully restored. And in large letters in stone in
the middle is "The Burlington." The Q didn't have passenger service to the Iowa
side, did it?

There use to be the Q freight house which the museum was using (great reuse of
a large space) with various river item in it while the passenger depot had been
remodeled and has since been back dated also part of the museum complex. But
then again I have not been there since the 90's

A question on the depot in Dubuque, Iowa. Driving by, I noticed a very good
looking (and preserved) old brick depot downtown on the waterfront along the
active tracks (just north of the Rt 20 bridge and south of the RR river
bridge). What surprised me was the name, in stone in big letters: "The
Burlington".
I didn't think the Q had much, if anything, on the west side of the river.
Anyone know anything about this?
The old (dilapidated) East Dubuque CBQ station seems to still be there (just
north of Rt 20). But I thought Dubuque itself was (mostly) Illinois Central, so
that nice depot threw me.
