A brand new book, just out by South Platte Press is "A MUST" for anyone interested in the Branch Line Experience especially as it relates to the CB&Q and it's extensive branch line network that once existed in South East and Southern Nebraska.
Some great color photos of what were CB&Q trains now "wearing the green", but traversing what was left of the Q's mostly Wymore Division in the 1980's and early 1990's.
There is some narration by a former CB&Q "branchine brakeman" relating his experiences along with a couple of photos from the 'almost" heyday of those lines in the 1950's. Captions of photos by co-author Paul Boslaugh are accurate and quite descriptive of the operation of these lines in the latter days.
The book retails for $29.95 plus $5.00 shipping from South Platte Press Nebraska residents add 5.5% sales tax.
