I can imagine this plant required lots of tires. Aurora (Montgomery)
produced front end (and crawler) loaders at startup, introduced the 944
wheel "traxcavator" (wheel loader) in late 1959
http://www.cat.com/50years-wheel-loaders , and also the first hydraulic
excavator (225) in 1972. Soil compactors and wheel dozers have been produced
there for a long time too.
