Randy:
The following information might substantiate the length of the turntable at Prague, and narrow down it's removal further.
A few years ago I wrote down the following engineering survey stations for the end of the track at Prague, from CB&Q maps that I had access to . After the 1942 abandonment from Prague to Schuyler, the proposed end of the track was at SS 1634+50 (or MP 31+2283'). In 1954, the end of the track was shown at SS 1633+83 (or MP 31+2216'). I never noticed it before, but the difference is 67', which is within a foot of the length of the turntable that was originally at Schuyler.
So it is possible that the Schuyler turntable was moved to Prague, installed at the end of the track, and considered as part of the main track. Then when it was removed, in 1954?, the length of the main track would have been shortened by the length of the turntable.
A theory for sure, but reasonable.

OK, thank you, Hol. I have a USGS airphoto of Prague dated 4/14/1952 with
the turntable in place (I attached a snip a few weeks ago), so that
narrows down the removal date.
