Here is a fun photo of an NW-2 in Savanna, in 1962. It looks like the switcher, and the F-7 behind it hauling a southbound freight, are waiting for some northbound traffic to clear. --- In CBQ@yahoogroups.com, rgortowski@... wrote: > > > Leo, > > With that information, the yard switcher in 1950 would likely be an NW-2. > > Thanks, > > Rich > > > -----Original Message----- > From: qutlx1 qutlx1@... > To: CBQ CBQ@yahoogroups.com > Sent: Sat, Mar 23, 2013 10:55 pm > Subject: Re: [CBQ] Savanna Illinois - 1950 > > > > > > > Rich > > > According to Chicago and Aurora Div track alignment book updated to 12/29/59 the east yard limit and division line line between Aurora/La Crosse was at MP 142.89 exactly .5 miles east of the timber bridge over the east end of the yard at MP 143.39 and east of the stock yard. > > > All the seniority lists I have do not show Savanna yard men as Aurora men. I believe these assingments to divisions changed over time. Seeing as the yard was about a mile southeast of the city, I would suspect the locomotives would be under the Aurora division listing. Anyone know for sure where they assigned in 1950? > > Rich G. > __._,_.___
