Yes, that is an interesting observation of Burwell, Philip. From the fairly coarse Schuyler photo (the snip I posted, I had already enlarged and interpolated) it does look like it may have had a pit. Unless any ground-level photos turn up to contradict it, I'll model the Schuyler TT with a pit. So far, I haven't managed to find a single photo of the Q Schuyler facilities...
