Leo,
While you are checking records, I have a family member that I would like you to look for in your documents. His name was Burns Bradford Wyllie. I know that he worked for the Q in commuter service in the 1940's and early 50s. He was a fireman and possibly an engineer. I don't know if he worked out of Aurora or Chicago. He left the railroad in the 1950s to pursue other interests. For many years, after leaving the RR, he owned and operated a hardware store near the intersection of Maple Ave. and Belmont Rd. in Downers Grove. Burns was born on 07/17/1914 and passed away a little over a year ago on 11/20/2011. I have a photo of him in the cab of a Q pacific and as a kid, once rode the cab with him between DG and Hinsdale, I believe. I would like to know when he started with the RR, where he worked out of, whether in fact, he was promoted to engineer and when he left the RR. Any help that you could provide would be appreciated.

I worked with both a Bob May and a Bob Brummel. Both engineers in their 60s during the 1970s at Aurora.
Relatives of yours ?
I will check some seniority lists for the other names.
Leo
