Boy, that will teach me to write late at night.  It is a "6-panel 
truss".  I confused my terminology with biplane wings...

And thank you, Glen, for the piling explanation.  I will probably 
include a few pilings at each end for the "flavor" of it too, given 
the compressed nature of any model railroad.

I'm attaching the two images I have of the bridge.
