[CBQ] Hello and an introductory message from a new member.

Hello to the List;

I want to thank all for this list.  I am using it as a research mechanism in an 
attempt to model the H&StJoe from Hannibal to Palmyra and Quincy circa 
1861-1865.  Actually this is an outgrowth of family history research which has 
drawn me to the Palmyra and Marion County area circa 1830.  The early 
settlements, railroads, steam packets, and mercantile endeavors of the region 
and time are all inter-twined with various members of my family both directly 
and though business dealings. 
I have read with great interest and anticipation post # 40674  Re: [CBQ] CB&Q 
roundhouse at Hannibal posted by archieh1946 and am hoping that copies of the 
blueprint drawings of various structures and the 1899 layout of H&StJo 
facilities are still available.  

Noting Post #39973  Re: [CBQ] Re: Hannibal & St. Joe Farewell posted by John 
Lewis.  The Library of Congress has a litho from an atlas "Bird's eye view of 
the city of Palmyra, Marion Co., Missouri, A.D. 1869" 
(http://www.loc.gov/item/73693486) that shows the Hannibal and St. Joe railroad 
entering the town of Palmyra, Missouri from the south; the main line 
paralleling main street and curving towards the 'junction' with the Palmyra and 
Quincy railroad.
The LOC also has "Bird's eye view of the city of Hannibal, Marion Co., Missouri 
1869."
For those who might be interested.

I am still in the research phase and am looking for assistance in developing 
equipment lists and drawings of that equipment from which I will build the 
models.
As far as I can determine this section and period has not been done before.  It 
should be quite fun and will combine my two hobbies into one and bring that 
period to life.
