The only railroad I know that was silly enough to move livestock in freight stock cars, on passenger trains, was the C&IM, on their little Springfield to Pekin train and they didn't care if the few passengers (which they tried to discourage, any way) smelled the stock or not! For you city dwellers, livestock stinks.
