Here's a shot I've posted before of one of the silver (aluminum) UP cars.  There were no Q waycars painted in UP colors and the Q cars did not operate through on the UP.

OK, in the late 1950's the UP painted several of their yellow cabooses silver (aluminum) for use east of Omaha on the joint Chicago - Grand Island - West Coast trains.

1) Are there any good sources for photos of the cabooses involved?

2) Were any CB&Q waycars painted in UP colors?

3) Does anyone know WHY this stipulation was in the agreement between the two railroads?

4) Did CB&Q waycars run through to Wyoming like some of the diesels did?

Thanks,

Gary B.
