I believe that the switcher that brought the California Zephyr into Denver Union Station upon its arrival from Chicago had a steam generator to heat the cars, since they were occupied.

Hello to all. On page 191 of the MARVELOUS "Burlington Waycars" book, there's an EMD switcher in the background (two, actually). At the right edge of the picture, there is what appears to be a generator from a steam loco mounted on the top of the hood, in front of the cab. Is this what it is? Was it there to power the radio, or what??
