is a very modern pile driver, a recent product of American Hoist and Derrick,

Automobile traffic by rail was rare in 1961. But a new design, carrying new
cars on three layer flatbeds rather than shoehorned into boxcars would soon
recapture much new auto traffic. Here [is] one of the first auto rack loads

piggybacking of old four-seater haulaway trailers on fifty foot flatcars. These
Chrysler products are traveling as the first of the multi-level automobile rack
cars are just being introduced into service.

A dozen 1962 Cadillacs roll west on a freight car especially designed to get
auto traffic back on the rails. Cadillac had been the last regular rail shipper
of automobiles when the traffic was carried in double-door boxcars.
