Pete & Bill:

Here is another modern application of a stylus. When paying by cheack at many
stores, we get to sign our names on an electronic pad with a stylus (wired into
the device)so that our check can be an EFT fund transfer.

Back at 4-H camp in 1970-1977, the Tandy leather craft tools included a metal
stylus to trace a pattern on damp leather for follow up with the swivel knife &
other stamping tools. Possible the intricate western patterns on saddles,
boots, etc are created partially with a leather craft stylus.

So Pete: how about "The Shakes" ? Please spill what you know.
