Do you have any recollection as to what month your trip occurred? With double deck cars, it could well have been one of the many Choo Choo specials that the Q ran in that time period. I know about the time machine. Sometimes, that would be nice. I guess that is what photos are for. Too bad some of us who were there didn't keep better records. In his younger days, my dad often said he thought the steam locomotives would be around for ever. Then, he went to work for EMD, so he should have known better!

I rode a Q excursion from Davenport as a child. My dad took some very limited movie footage of it showing 4960 and bi level commuter cars.. I was 5 in 1962 and remember riding in a bi level. When it came time to tour the locomotive at the end of the trip, my dad couldn't get me near it. As a 5 year old I was taught fire was bad and I wouldn't go near it. O to have a time machine and have a "do over"!!
