Jerry-

The beauty of at least the No.7 truck is that they were used on CB&Q Wood Waycars through the BN era….the CB&Q experimentally tried Allied Full Cushion trucks on a wood waycar but the crews complained so much that they replaced them with the wood ones.

BTW, both the UP and C&NW copied the CB&Q truck (the UP even called it the “Q” truck)   The UP and C&NW  trucks varied from the CB&Q in minor ways (the shape of the top of the pedestal, the shape of the strap on the bottom).   The UP used the truck on their Steel Cabooses (Centralia/InterMountain).

The truck can be used on the “Overton” shorty Athearn/MDC passenger cars but the brake beam interferes with the steps so some trimming will be required.   MP and other roads used similar 5’ wheelbase wood trucks on their cabooses and other cars as well.   The 7’ Passenger car truck is pretty generic but a nicer model of such a truck than the one that comes on the Athearn/MDC long wood passenger cars.

They are really nice in detail and I believe that modelers trying to represent the earlier years of railroading will find them to be greatly of value overall!!!
