That is what I am trying to put together is a comprehensive list of all Q fan trips (steam or otherwise). To the best of my knowledge, there is no such list available today. Years ago, Harold Edmonson of Chicago put together a book called "Steam on Q" which had a list of fan trips from 1955 to mid 1960. I have incorporated that list and am trying to expand it through the end of the fan trip era on July 17, 1966.
So far, my list includes about 70 trips, but not all of the details are complete for every trip and I know that other trips occurred, particularly out of other locations. I would like to include all trips on the C&S and FW&D and all of the Q Choo Choo specials. I am looking for trips dates, locomotives, departure point, destination, routes and train consists. When complete, I would like to share the list through the BRHS and this group.

I've been busy with other projects and briefly read the Q Fan Trips notes. Does someone have a listing for all the steam excursion trips posted somewhere so one can view them and add information, dates, destinations, etc?
I too have several recordings, including a reel to reel tape of my trip in May 1964 from Chicago to Aurora and back to celebrate the 100 anniversary of the Q. I met a guy that had been recording a lot of the Q trips, he was at Berwyn when a fan trip with 4960 that made a stop, he had a large set up to record the event. I think his name was Rob Adams as best as I remember.
