Mark,

Per this web page, code 70 in HO would represent 90 to 120 pound rail, so that should be just right for your time period. Code 55 in the yard would probably also work well.

This may be off topic but need some help.I'm working on a C&S standard gauge layout and trying to figure rail size for a 1920's-1940's era layout. The main power 2-8-2's,4-6-2's,and 2-8-0's.Some have said use code 100 flex track(that's all that's available locally).I'm leaning towards code 70 for main line,& code 55 for the yards and branch lines, but,I want to be as accurate as I can.Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance Mark McCoytavwot@yahoo.com
