Here's an in service photo of caboose 101 at Fort Worth on March 14, 1953, from the collection of the late Tom Martorano.  The rebuilding included removing the car's clerestory roof.  Note that on the C&S and FW&D they were always cabooses, not waycars.

Ed

According to The Colorado Road, there was a FW&D caboose numbered 101, built by Pullman in 1888 and converted from
baggage-mail-coach #26 in December 1951. It was retired in March 1970.

Passenger car #101 was a 70' 8" baggage car built in 1922, rebuilt in 1929, and converted to a tool car in 1968.
