Injun Summer was a true classic. I'm pretty sure they still publish it every year (screw political correctness) and the original is on display at the Chicago Historical Society.

John T. McCutheon used to do an illustration on a fall Sunday in the Chicago Tribune Magazine Section..It was called "Indian Summer"..showed Indians in a fall scene with corn shocks and wisps of smoke and other fall reminders...It was a nostalgia thing and I looked forward to it every fall...

 

Any of you Chicago guys remember that and does it still appear in the Trib ???
