Lived in Berwyn and distinctly remember the cover magazine that came with the Sunday Tribune from the 1940's up until I left in 1972. Back in the 40's and 50's, I would sit on my dad's lap and he would read my the story every whenever it came out. I think he even added his own story to it as well.

Was a great thing to remember as a kid. The Q did menus in the late 40's early 50's titled "When the frost is on the punkin" which reminded me of the Indian Summer illustration. Wonder if they took that idea from the Tribune.

John T. McCutheon used to do an illustration on a fall Sunday in the Chicago Tribune Magazine Section..It was called "Indian Summer"..showed Indians in a fall scene with corn shocks and wisps of smoke and other fall reminders...It was a nostalgia thing and I looked forward to it every fall...

Any of you Chicago guys remember that and does it still appear in the Trib ???
.
