Perhaps there has been a development of which I am unaware, but to my knowledge there is not a single operable Winton 201/201A engine (such as that in the PIONEER ZEPHYR and FLYING YANKEE)  anywhere, and not likely to be given the absolute lack of parts, so I am curious as to what engine QSI is purporting to represent the PZ 201?  Apparently, there are some operating Winton submarine engines, but none of them are the distinctive 201s.

Preston Cook, the ranking expert on Winton  has an excellent note on the Winton engines at:   http://utahrails.net/loconotes/pcook-winton.php.  It was he who personally warned me of the absence of any operable engines from which to record.  A minor addendum to his note is that there are two other existing 201 Winton engines, the 12 cylinder pair removed from the A unit of the first CITY OF SAN FRANCISCO E-2 A-B-B set.  They reside in the collections of the California State Railroad Museum.

The only known recording of a 201 engine of which I am aware of  is off the soundtrack off of the ancient movie SILVER STREAK.
