I recently obtained a copy of that book, worth far more than I paid. Also the NRHS Chapter has a copy in their Railroad Refference Library. If you read the various land and town descriptions you come up with 1954 as the print date. It would be interesting to lookover these properties today. We do obtain some of the darndest items in the name of collecting.

Mike, I don't know if this will help. I just got use of a Q Industrial Properties book showing land for industrial properties. One is Montgomery and they have this photo in it. The area in the black line is 500 acres. The book doesn't have a date but since they show a set of FT motors on the front I would guess it is late '40's.
