Sorry, but strike that last post!!!!

NO CB&Q equipment that I know of received MAROON paint, at least post-1880
era... CB&Q had a shade of GREEN as its standard passenger car color in the
steel heavyweight car era. A few cars were painted in Silver and even
fewer received the simulated stainless steel faux corrugations paint. ALL
heavyweight cars started out in Green with Gold or Imitation Gold Railroad
Roman Lettering. Some received the "Ribbon Style" Imitation Gold Lettering
starting in the 1950s.

First-Out Auctions had a slide on eBay of the 1938 taken well after its
retirement judging by the equipment it was coupled to and it is in Green
with Imitation Gold Ribbon Style Lettering. I have a copy of the eBay
scans for it and Cajon57X as well from a different angle.

The only photos I could find of 1938 were in maroon paint.

Subject: [CBQ] CB&Q RPO #1938

Good day,

I am a member of the Nebraska Railroad Museum and have received a grant from
the Union Pacific railroad towards the restoration of CB&Q RPO #1938. I am
on a quest to find any photograph that exists of this car so we can repaint
it as accurately as possible.

I found a photo of RPO #1933 online, but so far none of #1938. Does anyone
on this board have any information or guidance for me.

Regards,
Trevor Henderson
