John,
Indeed, it looks like none of these observations were used on any of the Hill
Line roads after the Pullman divestiture of 12/48. The GN continued to use
their solarium observation lounges, Plan 3990, lot 6249, but these were very
different than your Walthers car. Still, the Walthers car can be a decent
"stand in" for the Q by overlooking the window differences.

Rich/Bob -
ccording to Tom Madden's Pullman Project, Palm City was a plan 3975C, built
/16/29, reconfigured to a 3975H, and wrecked on the NP on 1/14/47 at
erham, MN. As there are no further entries, that indicates that the car
as wrecked beyond repair.
Palm Grove, Palm Lane, and Palm Villa were built at the same time and then
old to PRR on 12/31/48 during the divestiture. Except for Palm Lane,
hich was sold to Strates Shows, a circus, on 8/23/56.

John/Bob,
The Walthers car was not used on the Q or GN, but for a short time after
WWII and 1947, was assigned by Pullman to the North Coast Limited. One such
car was "Palm City." When the streamlined Obs arrived for the NCL (the last
car type delivered?). I believe these were returned to the Pullman "pool"
and were not kept by the NP. I'll try to check it out.

Not CB&Q. I'd have to check, but thought it might be OK for GN.
