I will miss visiting Joe. I had the opportunity to meet with him frequently
while I was employed at a bank in Westmont. He would ask me to do some
Burlington research for him as he was finding it difficult to use his computer
at home. He never was lacking for stories of the Burlington, especially in his
beloved Black Hills. Randy is correct in that part of his collection was
already donated to an institution of higher learning in the Black Hills and the
balance of the collection will go there as well.

Greetings,
I wanted to let everyone know that Joe prepared a plan for his material and his
heirs are working to get that done. It will take quite a while to do.
Without Joe's work, there would be no Burlington waycar book. He spent 45 years
working on the roster, shooting photos and gathering material which he freely
shared without reservation or commotion.
He will be greatly missed.
