Regulations vary from state to state. To transport human remains, esp across state lines or internationally, requires paperwork, including a death certificate. Which may be why most deal with a certified funeral director to make arrangements for transportation. A funeral director will drive some distance to pick up a body, but if the distance is great the remains are shipped via rail or air. Cremains are different, and individuals can carry cremains with them on the plane or train, but each airline has different regulations. Here is the TSA's instructions regarding cremains: http://www.tsa.gov/travelers/airtravel/specialneeds/editorial_1296.shtm Doug Harding www.iowacentralrr.org [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ------------------------------------ Yahoo!
