Leo, I don't have pictures of the switch stands from the Alley but I did find a
website called chicagoswitching.com, which focuses on the old Milwaukee Road
switching district on the near North Side of Chicago. There are a number of
photos of the switch stands embedded in the roadway. Not sure if they are the
same as used by the CB&Q but if you just want to show what the embedded
mechanisms looked like these photos may be viable stand-ins.
