The way he phrased it was that the double track extended all the way
into town or just beyond it, which I took to mean with no interruption.
The fellow was a bit odd, first off he asked this very detailed
question, and then admitted that he didn't know what the original
railroad was thru the area, he seemed to think that it was the NP!!!
I was more than a bit puzzled by him, I don't know if he was a novice
fan, area history buff, or someone checking up on his family history.
I know he wasn't local, he said that he was from Chicago. He got out
of his car, we watched a couple trains go by (there happened to be a
meet) chatted for a moment and then he got in back in his car and
drove off without even saying bye. Maybe he was just driving around
sewing confusion.
