Rich, I used a coarse X-ACTO saw blade to cut the slots between the boards then used a chisel point X-ACTO blade to carefully carve off the panels carving the Z brace as I removed the panels. You also have to carve away the ladder supoorts on the left side leaving the grabirons unless you want to replace them with wire. It was a lot of tedious work.
