Good points Leo. The Q called their landfill, the Herrin Junction Gob Track. And lets don't forget the the Galesburg Tie Plant and the Aurora Concrete Plant (pre fabricated pilings, bridge decks, signs, fence posts and much more). The Q also had its own brass foundry and testing laboratory.
