Just in case anyone is researching. You can stop. I did find my answer to the location of the 9204. After looking at both versions of Auroras' Centennial History,The Aurora Story,Peffers 4 Volume History of the CA&E which has many Aurora photos, I had about given up. Then I pulled out BRHS Bulletin #46 on the elevation project. On page 22 was my answer. The building in the background with what appears to be a box on the roof, is the old Auroa Opera House at the NE corner of Water and Benton Sts. Compared to the photo I uploaded to the Yahoos site ,along with top trim on the building it is a complete match. Then with the aid of the computer I massaged the the image until I could really focus on the crew members. I now have a second of photo of my grandfather on the Alley Job. He is the man sitting on the front of 9204. If you have any doubt stay tuned for what I hope will be a future BB with a number of photos and drawings of him on the job.
