 In response to this post and a few other enquiries, here is the brief history 
of Car 57.
ordered LOT 1452 Pullman  1887
Delivered to DT&FW as no 45 in Feb/Mar 1888
UPD&G No 371 in 1891
C&S 57 in 1899
C&S 513 in 1906
C&S 99924 in 1926
Withdrawn 1947 and moved to Cheyenne as a grounded coach body.
Sold as a house in 1954

Your Car 57 kit arrived here on the West Coast today, and it looks great. This 
will be a very attractive and useful model for me. Please let us know when 
decals arrive, as I'll want some, no doubt.

I'm pretty you shared this information before, but it would be helpful if you 
could post a brief history of lettering/numbering changes on this car, so we 
can 
know the approximate years those things changed.

and restoring the real thing!
