I've just added an overhead shot of 5632 at Oregon, another from the 6-23-1963
wayfreight excursion. I'm guessing that's Karl Rethwisch's head leaning out of
the left side of her cab. In looking at the roof hatches (or vents - not sure
what the technical term is), you can see how weathering has changed the color
of the red oxide paint from a reddish-orange on the surfaces with minimal
exposure to a brownish purple in the areas most exposed. It all depends on when
you're portraying your engine ? how long it's been in service since it's last
shopping or washing.
